The main objectives of Biodiversity MARE Tricase were to initiate long-term monitoring of the biodiversity of the Tricase coastal area, in southern Italy, and to raise environmental awareness in the local community.
In 2016-2017 we realised a biodiversity inventory of coastal organisms of Tricase, including coastal plants, marine fauna and flora. We also recorded habitats, seasonality and reproductive periods of the organisms found.
